Massachusetts Juvenile Police Officer’s Association has been in existence for over 50 years.
MJPOA is a combination of hard working and dedicated School Resource Officer’s, Juvenile Officer’s, DARE Officers, Detectives, Supervisors, Youth Officer’s, Probation Officer’s, Principals, Assistant Principals, Teachers, Counselors, and School Safety/Security Personnel, all working together!MJPOA provides information and training for law enforcement personnel and school personnel keeping our members up-to-date on juvenile issues, school issues, and recent court decisions.
Our goal is to assist police and school personnel in creating a safe learning environment for all students and staff.
While creating a safe learning environment, we also stress the importance of building partnerships between the school, police and fire departments.
These Partnerships help guide and direct us as a team during an incident.One of the greatest values of MJPOA membership is the constant networking and sharing of information among law enforcement personnel and school personnel.In 2009 MJPOA became a state charter of the National Association of School Resource Officer’s (NASRO).
Collaborating with NASRO provides us with access to nationwide trainings and updates.
